What makes you a Risky Woman?

Elke is passionate about integrity and the protection of nature. We are up against incredibly wealthy individuals that achieved their wealth via illicit means and are destroying the environment that all of us depend on for the purpose of illicit profits. We need to get better at sophisticated risk assessments that make transparent the source of wealth of business partners, behavior in supply chains and the ingredients of products we buy. I am proud that I developed the technology that detects such people.

Name your top 3 achievements

  1. I built up my own company and provide insights for solutions to counter illicit causes.
  2. I built software that helps in important issues and is accessible to millions of people.
  3. I led large global banks in Risk Management.

What is the biggest risk you’ve taken in your career?

The decision to leave my corporate banking career and leading my own company to success. A regular paycheck is addictive and we perform a role given to us. Eventually there is a moment when all your other talents are not silent any more inside and scream to break out. This is the right moment to take the risk when it is time to follow your other dreams and ambitions.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

I am passionate for nature and am forever amazed with the abilities animals display in their behavior and how they adapt and master the risk of survival.

What is the best quality for successful leaders in Risk?

The ability to adapt to rapid changes in the business climate while keeping one's integrity.
